Setup in progress · QuickBooks access is not active
OverflowBrokersCxn privacy policy
Overflow Brokers LLC operates this connection for its owner's internal bookkeeping.
QuickBooks access is not active. This policy describes the setup work already performed and the intended handling of information when the connection is activated.
Information used
QuickBooks will send company and invoice records to the connector. The results returned to the owner are limited to the company name and identifier, and selected invoice identifiers, dates, amounts, balances, customer references and currency references. Customer references may include a customer's name.
The connection also uses access and refresh tokens, connection status and temporary authorization state. Intuit handles the QuickBooks sign-in; the connector does not request the owner's QuickBooks password.
This information supports the owner's review of invoices and investigation of accounting or connection errors.
Local storage
The planned deployment keeps encrypted connection state on Overflow's local Mac, with its encryption key held separately in protected configuration. The implemented core does not keep an invoice-result cache or a request-log cache. Provider responses are processed in memory, and selected results are returned for the requested work.
Connection tokens remain while the connection is in use. A confirmed internal disconnect removes them from the current store. If revocation cannot be confirmed, reads stop and the encrypted credentials remain for resolution. A disabled connection record may remain after disconnect.
These are the core's implemented storage behaviors. Protected deployment and live connection testing are still being completed; live QuickBooks credentials have not been configured through this setup.
Service providers
- Intuit supplies QuickBooks records, sign-in, authorization and token services.
- OpenAI processes selected results in the assistant conversation when the owner invokes the accounting assistant. Those conversations are governed by the terms, settings and retention practices applicable to the OpenAI service and account in use. The connector core makes no separate OpenAI API call.
- ngrok provides the temporary HTTPS route planned for connection and reconnection. It will carry the Intuit authorization redirect to the local service. Ongoing invoice reads will connect directly to Intuit. Detailed request capture is disabled and no Log Exports are configured in the dedicated account. The account displays 24-hour retention for request metadata. See ngrok's privacy policy.
- OpenAI Sites hosts the public website's static information pages. These pages contain no accounting records, connection credentials or public accounting sign-in form.
Disconnecting and other copies
The owner can remove the app's access through QuickBooks. Disconnecting does not delete QuickBooks records, assistant conversations, saved business documents or copies held by their respective services. See disconnect information.
